Rhythm Factory - Drummer's Perspective

First and foremost, thanks to everyone who came along to support us at Rhythm Factory, we really appreciate it and hope you enjoyed it.

I personally found the whole night quite strange, although ultimately fun. The strangeness included conversations about hip hop in which I had no frame of reference, struggles to make an amp work, a guitar lead falling out, a sample so quiet I had absolutely no idea whether I was even remotely close to keeping time, a "top heavy" Russian woman, and three Portuguese women all called Anna-something in a chippy with a box of condoms.

As we came off stage I was expecting commiserations; the classic "don't worry about it, I thought it was good". As it turned out, it was only me who had bad sound. Everyone I spoke to from the crowd said the sound was great, and I was suprised to hear those who had attended the previous gig at The Windmill say that this was better.

Massive relief, got a drink. Then another. Then another...

As per usual I ended up pissed and moving from one bizarre situation to another, before eventually getting the night bus home. Next I knew I was cruelly woken by my alarm for work.

Favourite post show compliment: "I was mesmorised".
Roll on August.

Any support is much appreciated!
Our aim is simple and true: to make songs that are security blankets; that wallop us round the head and mug us; that reunite us with our naivety; that show our mums our internet history.
